Web Design Case Study: Pampered Mummies Yarraville

Pampered Mummies is a down to earth child friendly cafe, hair and beauty salon located in Yarraville, Melbourne.

Brief

Trina Paskins, the owner of Pampered Mummies, wanted a website that could give prospective customers a feel for what Pampered Mummies was all about. She also wanted to be able to display and update her hair and beauty price lists and communicate with her customers via her website in a timely fashion.

Solution

The solution was to develop a website using a custom WordPress theme. This would allow us to incorporate a blog into the site and enable Trina to communicate with her clients and update the pricing herself.

I also used the services of my photographer husband, Raoul Wegat, to provide a strong visual focus for the website. Photographs could then be used throughout the site giving prospective clients a feel for Pampered Mummies and what they could expect when visiting.

Outcome

The result is a beautiful website that provides a wealth of information for clients and prospective clients alike. It gives visitors a clear idea about what Pampered Mummies has to offer them and why they should visit.

I love using WordPress CMS (content management system) as it’s easy to use and doesn’t overwhelm my clients. In fact Trina has already picked it up and has already started communicating through her blog.

Treen is thrilled with the result and has even started blogging!

Brief

As a long term valued client I worked with Normark Landscapes to develop the the first version of the their website. It had achieved it’s goals, and was generating targeted leads to the company, however it was time to update the look and feel of the site and add new content to keep it fresh and engaging.

It was also important to ensure Normark maintained their current search engine rankings and achieved new rankings for additional keywords.

Web Design Case Study: Williamstown Psychology

Williamstown Psychology is a psychology practice based in Williamstown, Melbourne.

Brief

Williamstown Psychology needed a website that would provide potential clients with information about their practice and services in an informative and sensitive way. It needed to provide detailed information on the issues they addressed and help potential clients feel comfortable and confident in contacting them.

The website also needed to attract visitors searching for help on a variety of psychological issues in and around the Williamstown area.

Solution

I worked closely with Williamstown Psychology to develop a website strategy that would meet the above brief. We decided to create sections on the services they offer and details of the practice as well as creating a Frequently Asked Questions section to address the more commonly asked questions they receive. In conjunction with Williamstown Psychology we created content on all of the issues they addressed and also ensured it was optimised for the search engines.

I developed a calming colour scheme based on the colours of their corporate identity and use nature photos again for their relaxing feel.

Outcome

The website has been an enormous success and Williamstown Psychology has had to employ additional staff to meet the increased demand for their services which they directly attribute to the website.
